So I was getting my regular fix of all the juicy happenings in the Entertainment when I discovered that Chika Ike, one of the worst movie stars of the last decade had started her own reality television show called African Diva. The show is a big brother type of show were the winner gets four million naira and a one year acting deal.
First, I am totally against women tearing themselves down. I am all about female empowerment and I doubt this show will do that. Yes, it will make one girl 4 million naira richer and introduce her tho the Asaba arm of Nollywood; the one part known for constantly churning out the worst Nigerian movies ever made. I cant even try to understand her point in all of this.
From Chika Ike’s outfits that look like they came from a 90s Muma Gee music video to the hair pulling and loud chatter from girls who can’t communicate in decent English, it is hard to figure out what is the exact point of this show
